CMS Marketing has expanded its creative and social team with the appointment of Orlagh Doherty, Rudy Godfrey and Henry O’Hagan as the agency continues to build out its capabilities across social, content, creative, motion and digital.
The appointments form part of a wider investment by CMS in developing a broader creative offering for clients, combining strategy, ideas, content and production across a growing range of channels and formats.
Orlagh Doherty joins CMS with a background spanning Joe.ie, Newstalk and RTÉ before moving into agency work.
Her experience covers social strategy, content development, editorial planning and audience engagement, bringing what CMS describes as a more editorial and audience-led approach to how brands engage with consumers across social platforms and online communities.
Rudy Godfrey joins as a designer and art director with seven years’ experience working across creative agencies and brands. His work has covered brand, campaign, social and experiential projects for clients including The National Lottery, Bank of Ireland, Sky, Paddy Power, 48 Mobile, Cadbury and The Irish Independent.
Godfrey’s work has also received recognition at home and internationally, including a Cannes Young Lions shortlist and recognition from ICAD, where he has also picked up a Bronze Bell.
Henry O’Hagan, meanwhile, joins as creative motion and digital designer, specialising in motion, animation, digital design and visual storytelling. His background includes work across documentary, illustration and animation, adding further moving-image and digital production capabilities to the agency’s existing creative offering.
According to CMS, the three appointments will help connect its social and content expertise more closely with conceptual creative thinking, design, motion and digital craft.
David Gee, managing director of CMS Marketing, said the appointments reflected changes in how brands now need to communicate with audiences.
“We’re building a team that reflects the way brands and audiences engage today. Great ideas need to work across more than one channel, and that means bringing together different perspectives, disciplines and ways of thinking,” he said.
“Orlagh, Rudy and Henry each bring something distinctive to the agency, and their arrival significantly strengthens our ability to take an idea from insight through to content, creative and execution.”
Clients of CMS Marketing include the likes of Paddy Power, Manor Farm, An Post, Bank of Ireland, Vodafone, National Broadband Ireland and Visa.
