The Holywood, Co. Down-based PR agency LK Communications has picked up the account for Lidl in Northern Ireland following a six-way pitch.

Reporting to Lidl’s Head of Communications on the island of Ireland, Aoife Clarke, LK will seek to build strategically on the company’s Northern Ireland brand presence and purpose, continue its communications momentum, and support its ambitious growth plans.

“Lidl is a fantastic flagship brand and we couldn’t be more pleased or proud to add it to our client portfolio,” said LK Communications managing director, Nikki Larkin. “This is an important win in terms of our long-term growth and development strategy and reflects the recent targeted expansion of our senior team.”

Lidl’s Aoife Clarke said: “We are delighted to bring LK Communications on board.  We were extremely impressed not only by their creativity and ideas but by their understanding and passion for our brand and our business. With Lidl’s landmark twentieth anniversary in Northern Ireland next year, we look forward to working with LK on an exciting and dynamic new chapter of growth and development here.”

Clients of LK include Visit Belfast, Lookers plc, Charles Hurst Group, Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council, Belfast Harbour, AC Hotel Belfast, Tullymore House Ltd and Rushmere Shopping Centre.
