Eoin Brannigan appointed editor if the Irish Daily Star

Eoin Brannigan has recently been appointed Editor if the Irish Daily Star having replaced Des Gibson.

Brannigan joined the Irish Daily Star in September 1997, as a member of the sports desk.

After a year on the news backbench, he was made sports editor in 2000 where he stayed until July 2014 when he became senior deputy editor.

A native of Palmerstown in Dublin, he went to school in Colaiste Mhuire, Parnell Square before getting a degree in Russian and History at Trinity College.
