    “Changing the Face of …” Commercials

    From asylum seekers to humane technology, from the intersection of artificial intelligence and food to the intersection of gender and cancer research, Maynooth University is changing the face of Irish society. This new campaign from KICK showcases the incredible MU graduates, Master’s and PhD students, lecturers and researchers changing the face of business, justice, media and science and innovation through their groundbreaking work at Maynooth University and beyond. The university’s culture of diversity, bravery, human and societal-lead research knows no bounds and this campaign brings to light its most valuable asset – its people, who are creating very real, very meaningful positive change, every single day—in their classrooms and labs, in their places of work and in their communities in Ireland and indeed the world.

    KICK and Maynooth University worked with Alfonso Films—an all-female company headed-up by Claire Byrne, Emma Wall and Jo Halpin—to produce this set of films for online and cinema.

    As Stephen Bradshaw from KICK says: “It was very important for us to live the ethos of Maynooth University. We knew that we too must stand up for change and consciously sought out new faces to direct and produce our campaign.”

    Rebecca Doolin, Director of External Relations at Maynooth University, added: “The goal of the campaign is celebrate the ways in which Maynooth graduates, students and academics are changing the face of Irish society—specifically the sectors of business, media, science and justice—by both the diversity of experiences and perspectives they bring to their work, but also in the incredibly consequential impacts they are making each and every day.”
