The Sky-owned on demand platform NOW TV has taken a big step in raising its Irish presence by sponsoring five different breakfast radio shows across a portfolio of stations represented by media sales agency Media Central.

The sponsorship, which has already begun, gives NOW TV unique coverage of breakfast time on the flag ship shows on Spin1038, 98FM, iRadio, Spin South West and Beat 102-103. Each breakfast show allows NOW TV to reach out to the stations key breakfast audience but with a distinct regional feel where each of the stations presenters adds their own personality for their local area and allows NOW TV to push relevant messaging to each stations audience.

“As a brand in our second year since launch, it’s crucial we are communicating in channels which allow us to grow our reach throughout the country. Partnering with breakfast shows across the region allows us to get our brand message out there but also gives us the opportunity to work with some of the nation’s favourite DJs to create brand affinity and love for our content,” says Mick Forry Head of Marketing for NOW TV.

“Bringing NOWTV and Media Central together has given us the opportunity to identify another great way to showcase NOWTV to a wider Irish audience. These breakfast shows are premium airtime and we are thrilled to have the energy and talent of the presenters and the team in Media Central embracing the partnership” adds Emma O’Doherty of MediaCom, which handles the NOW TV account.

“We are excited to have NOW TV on board as yet another innovative brand utilising the unique appeal of the Media Central stations. As a relatively new brand to the Irish market we’re looking forward to working closely with NOW TV and Mediacom to further drive awareness of NOW TV across Ireland” says Ross McDonnell, Sponsorship Manager of Media Central.
