To celebrate the return of everyone’s favourite marmalade sandwich loving bear to Irish cinema screens on November 10th STUDIOCANAL have teamed up with Havas Media, Target Media UK and PML for an impactful takeover of Connolly Station.

The campaign makes use of a number formats at the station including the ticket barriers, digital gallery and full vinyl wall wraps. Paddington himself was on hand to launch the activity and meet commuters at Connolly.

The wider campaign also includes an extensive outdoor campaign across Dublin Bus T-Sides, 96 Sheets, Cityboxes, Digital 6 Sheets and an impactful Luas Tram wrap on the Red Line.

Stuart Henderson, Head of UK Marketing for STUDIOCANAL says “It’s incredibly exciting to be bringing Paddington back to the big screen following the incredible box office success of the first film. Paddington 2 shows the small bear on a very big, charming and funny adventure – and we wanted to reflect that in our media campaign.”

Adam Taylor, Director of Strategy and Planning at Havas Media says – “Paddington has a special ability to bring a smile to people’s faces and what better way to do that than with such an impactful and colourful out of home campaign.”

Paddington 2 is helmed by BAFTA nominated director Paul King, written by Paul King and Simon Farnaby, and produced by multi award-winning David Heyman.

Paddington 2 sees Hugh Grant and Brendan Gleeson joining the cast of the first film: Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters, Jim Broadbent, Peter Capaldi, Madeleine Harris, Samuel Joslin, Ben Whishaw as the voice of Paddington and Imelda Staunton as the voice of Aunt Lucy.
