Guns or Knives Wins Grand Prix at Outdoor Media Awards

Guns or Knives – Winners of the Grand Prix Creative at the 26th OMA Awards

The best of planning and creativity in Out-of-Home advertising was celebrated last night at the 26th Outdoor Media Awards in the Shelbourne Hotel.

The ceremony was opened by Colin Leahy, President of the Outdoor Media Association and Managing director of Exterion Media. In his address, Colin told the assembled audience of creatives, media planners, advertisers, Out-of-Home specialists and media owners that the public nature of Out-of-Home advertising played an integral role in building brand trust and brand stature.

“Out-of-Home gives you ultimate control to let your brand be the uninterrupted star of the show, delivering an agnostic platform for brand communications”

Echoing this sentiment, Stefan Schmidt, Chairman of the judging panel added: “Billboards may have started as cave paintings 40 thousand years ago but they are the most modern, honest, sincere and human media form I can think of.”

The jury awarded the Grand Prix for Excellence in Media to Mondelez for Cadbury, planned by Carat and created by PML. The Grand Prix for Excellence in Creativity was awarded to mytaxi, created by Guns or Knives with media planned by Vizeum and executed by Source Out-of-Home.
