Target McConnells Wins Arnotts Digital Account

Arnotts has appointed Target McConnells, supported by Wondr, as its new strategic digital agency partner following a four-way competitive pitch that also involved In the Company of Huskies, ICAN and Javelin.

The decision to look for a new agency partner follows the appointment of Asta Lund as Multi-Channel Director. According to Lund, “re-imagining our brand’s online presence is essential in the context of today’s anywhere/anytime shopper. We want to ensure that our online experience matches that of our physical one and we wanted an agency partner who had the vision that would help us continue to transform our brand in line with today’s consumer expectations.”

According to Geoff McGrath, MD of Target McConnells, “winning a new client is always exciting for an agency but this win has an extra dimension. We were very motivated from the start by this marketing team’s absolute ambition to create a seamless world-class shopping experience for this iconic brand and its shoppers. Bricks-and-mortar retail will increasingly serve as a ‘third space’, offering patrons much more than just a place to complete transactions. Instead, retailers must engineer customer-centric experiences, and a rendition of the brand’s unique offering across every touchpoint. Success relies on serving, pre-empting and inspiring customer desire. The progressive team in Arnotts fully appreciate this and we are excited about the work we will be able to create with them in the future.”
