Sunday Times Launches New Irish App

Frank Fitzgibbon, Justine McCarthy and Richard Oakley, launch new Sunday Times Ireland

The Sunday Times Ireland has launched a new tablet App which will make the Irish edition, including all magazines, available in digital format for the first time.

The App will be available to download from this Sunday onwards and is both Android and Apple iOS tablet compatible. The app will cost €9.99 per month or €2.69 per week.

According to Frank Fitzgibbon, editor of The Sunday Times Ireland Edition, “Readers who enjoy The Sunday Times in print can now enjoy that same rich experience on their tablet. By expanding onto new platforms, this will enable The Sunday Times Ireland edition to reach a wider group of readers and increase the publication’s total audience.

This new reading experience is the next step in our ongoing process to develop new and valuable digital products that offer our readers other innovative ways to access our content. Tablet ownership is growing significantly and it made total sense for us to extend our quality content to these platforms and reach even more people with our award-winning journalism.”
