AD2ONE Wins eBay.ie Account

The digital sales house AD2ONE has picked up the advertising sales account for eBay in the Irish market. The business was previously held by Electric Media Sales.

eBay has recently undergone a facelift, with a newly added interest feed and a much more picture driven interface. This is the most significant change to the site since it launched its Irish domain in 2005. According to Comscore, eBay has almost 700,000 unique users, giving it nearly 25% reach in the Irish market.

Louise Doddy, AD2ONE’s newly appointed Head of eBay Advertising said: “This is a fantastic win for AD2ONE. It is a great time to take on the account with the site redesign a big story in itself. In addition to that, the first party, real time targeting capabilities that eBay possesses means we can position brands at multiple points in the shopper journey, from inspiration to purchase.  Real time, short term and long term targeting makes this powerhouse of e-commerce a fantastic option for all brands.”

Commenting on the win, Peter Barry, Commercial Director for AD2ONE Ireland said “We are over the moon to be working with the number one e-commerce site in the country. eBay is one of the most recognised brands online, and it is a real testament to the quality of the team in AD2ONE that they decided to partner up with us. Advertising has been, and is, all about relevance and eBay’s targeting delivers shopper adjacency that can be achieved nowhere else”.
