A small number of tickets are still available for TAM Ireland’s TV Showcase event which will take place next week in Dublin on Thursday, September 24.
TAM Ireland has also unveiled the full list of speakers for the event which will bring together senior figures from broadcasters, agencies, media owners and advertisers to discuss advertising effectiveness, media planning and the changing economics of sports programming rights.
One of the centrepiece sessions will examine the increasingly competitive market for sports rights in Ireland, with the heads of sport from the country’s major broadcasters taking part.
The panel will feature Mick McCaffrey, Rónán Ó Coisdealbha, Ryle Nugent, Declan McBennett and Rory Martin, who will discuss the pressures shaping the sports rights market, including rising costs, audience fragmentation and the growth of live streaming.
The discussion will look at how these trends are changing the economics of sports broadcasting and the decisions broadcasters are making around rights acquisition and distribution.
The event will also examine how more considered decisions around media planning and budget allocation can deliver stronger returns than more formulaic approaches to media buying.
A panel featuring Lynn Callan, Eileen Leahy, Ryan Reid, Catherine Marley and Sarah Taylor will draw on insights from campaigns recognised at the TAMI Awards.
There will also be a Q&A with Leigh Cunningham of Havas and Lee Martin of Mediahuis Ireland, who will discuss the Irish Independent campaign that won the Grand Prix at the TAMI Awards.
The showcase will be hosted by Conor Byrne, host of the That’s What I Call Marketing podcast host.
The TAM TV Showcase 2026 takes place from 8am to 10.30am on Thursday, September 24, in the Marshall Room at The Dean Hotel, Dublin 2.
The event is in-person and free to attend but registration is required
