The changes in festival format on previous years, sees a focus on four key areas – Short Films (Wednesday 18th September), Design (Thursday 19th September), Music Videos (Friday 20th September) and Advertising (Saturday 21st September). This is in line with Jury President Mark Denton’s ‘CREATIVE CRAFT’ manifesto.

According to Aisling White, Festival Director: “Our new Sharks format is all about celebrating the key strands of our festival:  Short Films, Design, Music Videos and the business of Advertising. Winners will be presented their Shark Trophies on each of the four days with a mix of talks and winners’ presentations.

“We’re all aware that this world of advertising and brand communications has become multi-faceted, with brands trying to engage with their audiences on a variety of platforms and channels.  That coupled with the increasing importance of craft, is why we’ve worked hard to make sure the new categories at the Shark Awards this year reflects that,” she adds.

The international festival of creativity is held in the picturesque town of Kinsale, Co.Cork and will start on September 18th, concluding on September 21st. The deadline for entries is August 30th.
