IMAGE Media has been chosen as a finalist in the US-based, global Digiday Publishing Awards. The only Irish publisher to feature, IMAGE has been shortlisted in two categories: Most Modern Legacy Brand, and Best Use of Voice for IMAGE’s Smart Casual podcast, produced in partnership with Kildare Village.

The prestigious awards, regarded as publishing’s benchmark of excellence, evolution and innovation, sees the world’s most established media names compete in 20 categories.

IMAGE Media is joined by global brands including CNBC, Food Network, ABC, National Geographic, USA Today and Bloomberg Media, amongst others, in their categories.

Digiday recognises that this year’s finalists reflect an industry intent on navigating a path forward, saying: “As publishers seek new ways to create valuable products that present opportunities to collect previously unclaimed revenue and are true to the core of their businesses, this year’s list honours those who have best laid out the course for their future.”

Since 1975, IMAGE has established and maintained its position as Ireland’s premier destination for smart, switched-on, stylish women. Today, IMAGE Media is a multi-platform, female-focused media company – publishing across multiple channels online (IMAGE.ie, imageinteriors.ie), video, print (IMAGE Magazine, Image Interiors & Living, in-flight Aer Lingus publication CARA magazine), events, podcasts and social media. In these disruptive times, IMAGE Media believes that a great partnership is creativity with purpose.

According to Clodagh Edwards, CEO of IMAGE Media: “For over 44 years, IMAGE has been at the forefront of evolution, from leading ground-breaking conversations in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s, to pioneering new platforms and innovation in the 21st century. As the world of publishing changes with increasing rapidity, we have made huge leaps to carry IMAGE’s integrity and quality across our digital and experiential offerings. Advertisers are loyal to IMAGE, and have made the journey with us because of our quality content, engaged audience and success in finding new ways to meet brands’ objectives. With the Digiday shortlist, we are overjoyed to be recognised for the work that we do, and to stand on a global stage.

The Digiday Publishing Awards finalists were shortlisted by a panel of industry leaders, including executives from Meredith, Reddit, The Infatuation, Gannett, Highsnobiety. This year’s winners will be announced on September 12 at the Digiday Publishing Awards Gala in New York.
