Extra.ie, the Irish news website that is owned by DMG Media Ireland has reported 1.3m monthly unique users after only two years in business.
The site was launched in February 2017 as part of DMG Media’s Irish digital portfolio which now also includes MailOnline, EVOKE.ie and Rollercoaster.ie. Extra.ie was Ireland’s first news website designed solely for mobile consumption.
“The focus has always been about providing our users with the very best editorial content in News, Sport, Entertainment and Business and these results reflect the trust and confidence digital consumers have place in our brand,” says Bernard Bermingham, Commercial Manager Extra.ie.
“The continued growth is even more impressive considering it counts an Irish, mobile only audience and therefore delivers 100% unique reach. This success comes on the back of a full site revamp back in November,” he adds.
