TRA Brands Picks up KAYAK PR Account for Ireland

Leading PR and sponsorship agency TRA Brands has been appointed by KAYAK as its consumer PR agency in Ireland following a competitive pitch process.

KAYAK is the world’s leading travel search engine and searches other travel sites to help people make travel decisions with information on flights, hotels, rental cars and vacation packages.

KAYAK processes 1.5 billion annual searches for travel information and operates more than 40 international sites in 20 languages and is an independently managed subsidiary of The Priceline Group which also owns Booking.com, Agoda.com, OpenTable.com and RentalCar.com.

According to Suzie O’Dea, director at TRA Brands: “We’re delighted with this win and excited to start telling the KAYAK story in Ireland.  KAYAK is at the leading edge of global travel tech innovation, with mind-blowingly smart tools that should very quickly make it the go-to travel search engine for a nation of adventure seekers.  We are really looking forward to introducing KAYAK to the travel loving Irish public with some fun activations in the coming months.”

The partnership will see TRA Brands working closely with KAYAK’s European offices in Berlin, Zurich and London to co-ordinate all consumer PR communications and experiential marketing in Ireland.

Suzanne Perry, Marketing Director at KAYAK said, “Ireland is an exciting market for us and we are happy to finally launch PR there. With TRA Brands we’re confident that KAYAK.ie will be front of mind for Irish travellers.”

TRA Brands currently works with some of Ireland’s biggest brands and clients including SuperValu, eir, Bord Na Móna, Bacardi, Mazda, Swatch and Kerry Foods.  The agency acts as the consumer and sponsorship division of The Reputations Agency, which is part of DDFH&B.
