Kantar Media, a global leader in media intelligence, has acquired Newsaccess, the Dublin-based provider of multi-channel media monitoring in Ireland.

The acquisition strengthens Kantar’s grip on the media monitoring market and according to Andy Brown, CEO and chairman of the company it “illustrates the importance of the Irish market to our business. With it, we strengthen our media monitoring capabilities whilst continuing our strategy to provide the most accurate intelligence on media consumption, performance and value.”

Kevin Fagan, Managing Director Ireland for Kantar Media, adds: “through the deal, Newsaccess places our Irish business in a strong position to continue to grow and expand in this increasingly international market.”

Newsaccess was founded in 2005 and is headquartered in Dublin. The company uses its PR monitoring and analysis tools to enable clients to quickly track and evaluate press, broadcast and online content and analyse results of PR spend.

“We’re delighted to be able to leverage the breadth of Kantar Media’s capabilities for our clients in Ireland” comments Stuart McHugh, CEO of Newsaccess. “As a business, we’ve experienced strong growth throughout our 12 years, and we look forward to continuing that journey as part of Kantar Media.”
