TV3 has unveiled Paddy Power as the sponsor of its exclusive UK Horse Racing coverage in 2017, including major racing festivals such as Cheltenham, the Aintree Grand National, Royal Ascot and Epsom.

The partnership includes broadcast and digital sponsorship of UK racing coverage on TV3 and 3e as well as live streaming on 3Player and kicks off with the Cheltenham Festival Trials Day live on 3e this Saturday (28th January) from 12.45pm.

Paddy Power will also activate their partnership though split-screen advertising, solus breaks, content exclusives and social media support.

According to Paula McCarthy, head of sales, Virgin Media Solutions: “Securing the exclusive terrestrial rights to UK horse racing for the next four years has been a major coup for TV3 Group. Sport is a big focus for the business under our new three-channel strategy. With exclusive Six Nations coverage secured from 2018 and on-going exclusive Tuesday night UEFA Champions League games, horse racing allows us to widen our portfolio further. Paddy Power is the perfect partner for our racing coverage, and we look forward to working with the Paddy Power team to deliver a stand-out partnership across 2017.”

Paddy Power, director of communications, Paddy Power adds: “Horse racing has never failed to capture the imagination of the Irish public and we’re delighted to partner with TV3 to help bring top class UK meetings to our Irish customer base. Cheltenham, Ascot and the Aintree Grand National are the jewels in the crown of the racing calendar and we look forward to strengthening Irish interest in the sport of kings through our work with TV3.”
