The Awards are open to all media and advertising agencies, media owners and brands on the island of Ireland and there are 22 categories open for entry. Last year over 300 entries were submitted.
The Media Awards are one of the main highlights of the advertising calendar with over 950 guests in attendance last year. The coveted Grand Prix award went to Starcom while Carat won Agency of the Year. Elsewhere, Core Media picked up Network of the Year while the Sunday Business Post won Media Brand of the Year with Media Central bagging the Sales Team of the Year award.
For the 2017 Awards, the organisers have announced that an interviews will take place in two additional categories – Best Use of Media: Medium / Large and Best Use of Media: Niche. In addition the Media Brand of the Year category has been given a new set of criteria for entry.
The Awards will take place on Thursday 20th April in the Clayton Hotel, Ballsbridge (formerly DoubleTree by Hilton).
Platinum partners for the Media Awards 2017 include RTÉ Media Sales, DMG Media and The Dublin Airport Authority while the Sunday Business Post is a Gold Partner. Further sponsors will be announced over the coming weeks.
