With Bord Bia Bloom underway in Dublin’s Phoenix Park this weekend, a collaboration between media agency OMD, Kerrygold and Drake Hourigan Architects has scooped a prestigious gold medal in the Medium Garden category.
Called the “Nature Wrapped in Gold” garden, “it is a celebration of Irish farming, sustainability, and simple everyday pleasures.”
Kerrygold, which is part of Ornua, has used the garden to promote its cream cheese range and the partnership with OMD and Drake Hourigan “exemplifies quality, sustainability and evoking the senses, making Bord Bia Bloom Festival the perfect backdrop for this collaboration.”
“The garden provides an immersive experience that captivates all of the senses, showcasing the quality and superiority of Kerrygold cream cheese through seeing, smelling, hearing, and tasting the natural ingredients present. Visitors are invited to engage with its harmonious colours, fragrant blooms, and diverse textures. Inspired by Ireland’s lush pastures, the garden wrapped in golden ceramic tiles features native plants, including herbs that play a key role in Kerrygold’s cream cheese line. Every detail mirrors the commitment to quality that defines Kerrygold.”
“Kerrygold is proud to celebrate our iconic butter and share tastings of our delicious cream cheese as part of this special summer partnership at Bord Bia Bloom,” says Lynne Andrews, senior marketing manager, Ornua Foods International.
“In collaboration with OMD and Drake Hourigan Architects, we’ve brought to life a garden that reflects the care, craft and deep connection to nature that defines our product range. From native herbs featured in our recipes to golden ceramic tiles inspired by our iconic packaging, every detail has been thoughtfully designed to celebrate Irish summer gatherings and the simple pleasures Kerrygold champions every day,” she adds.
‘Kerrygold is a treat for the senses, and we wanted to create an experience which showcases this simple everyday pleasure and Kerrygolds commitment to quality, taste, and sustainability,” adds Lauren Kavanagh, innovation and partnership director, Omnicom Media Group.
“With a thoroughly collaborative process between OMD, Kerrygold, Bord Bia Bloom and Drake Hourigan Architects, we curated a multi-sensory experience, featuring birds, bees and butter! With every aspect meticulously planned, from choosing the seed list to planning innovative media amplification, I have never been more excited to see a partnership ‘Bloom’!’
