Gerry Lennon, one of the media and advertising industry’s leading lights over the last 30 years, has joined Ad Vantage Media as the agency’s business director.

Lennon recently stepped down as commercial director of Mediahuis Ireland and during his career has worked with a number of leading publications including the Farmers Journal and the Sunday World where he served as both commercial director and, later, managing director from 2007 onwards. In 2012 he was appointed as the managing director of the Irish Daily Star in 2012 and as commercial director of INM (later renamed as Mediahuis) in 2015. In 2017, he was the recipient of the Media Hero Award at the Media Awards for his “outstanding services to the Irish media industry.”

Ad Vantage Media (AVM) was founded by the late Jim Mooney and his wife Elaine and has worked with a range of clients since including Clarins, Weir & Sons, Dromoland Castle, DLA Piper, Halo Care, Powerscourt Hotel,  Hastings Hotels and BCP.

“I am really looking forward to helping AVM develop to its next stage, and also having the opportunity to work with such a talented team and great clients,” says Gerry Lennon.
