Jennifer Ross has been appointed as project manager for Ad Net Zero Ireland, the industry wide collaboration aimed at responding to the climate crisis caused by CO2 emissions.
Ross joins Ad Net Zero from News Ireland where she was a sales manager.
Ad Net Zero is the first full collaboration in Ireland across the advertising, marketing, media and production sector with a collective vision to address climate change and reduce carbon emissions across the industry. Organisations supporting Ad Net Zero include the Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland (IAPI), the Association of Advertisers in Ireland (AAI), the Marketing Institute of Ireland (MII), IAB Ireland and Commercial Producers Ireland (CPI)
According to Elizabeth Sheehan, Chair of Ad Net Zero Ireland: “I’m delighted that Jennifer has joined Ad Net Zero Ireland, she brings a wealth of experience and a passion for creating collaboration with our supporters to drive our industry to Net Zero by 2030. The advertising and marketing industry in Ireland has come together to launch Ad Net Zero in June 2022, right now we are at a key stage of developing our supporter base and ensuring that we can work together on the very clear 5-point action plan. The Climate Crisis is unfolding in front of our eyes and we must act with urgency to reduce our emissions and influence positive change. The advertising and marketing industry in Ireland has a responsibility and opportunity to make a positive impact and Ad Net Zero will support us all in that effort.”
Speaking about her new role Ross adds: “I am so excited to be a part of the Ad Net Zero movement & working with all the industry bodies, supporters & stakeholders involved to make Ad Net Zero a success in Ireland. I look forward to the journey, towards where Ad Net Zero Ireland is an industry standard for sustainability,”
