Extra.ie Launches New Travel Platform Called Look Up Ireland

DMG Media Ireland is launching ‘Look Up Ireland’ – a new travel news section on the Extra.ie platform that will offer a wide range of travel content for “staycationers” planning their holiday after lockdown restrictions end.

According to the publisher, “Look Up Ireland will go live on Friday, 21st May instantly featuring hundreds of articles giving inspiration on places to go, things to see, places to eat and where to ‘staycation’ in every county across Ireland.”

The new travel offering will revolve around six categories featuring Irish landmarks, places of interest, places to stay, things to do, tourist attractions and places to eat, and will target 25- 44-year-old families planning their holidays in Ireland.

“We know that most of the population is planning to staycation and support the Irish economy this summer, so we are launching ‘Look Up Ireland’ recognising the anticipated demand for staycation ideas, and to support the Irish tourism industry and promote the best of Ireland. It is all about celebrating Ireland and showcasing what we have to offer. We are confident that households will logon looking for ideas and reviews of fun places to visit, and the best places to stay and eat across our beautiful island,” says Karl Byrne, head of advertising sales at DMG Media.
