TBWA\Dublin Continues to Expand with New Talent

The Rathmines-based agency has welcomed a whole host of new faces to almost every department. Since last year, 12 new recruits have joined the Creative, Social & Content, Strategy & Planning, Account Management, MAKE and Production teams.

MEET THE NEW STARTERS

KYLE SCHOUW, ART DIRECTOR & DESIGNER

Kyle is a multi-disciplinary creative from South Africa. He has over 7 years’ experience in advertising, branding and design across a multitude of sectors. In 2017 he was awarded a gold Cannes Young Lion in the design category, a first for Ireland. In 2019 he was fortunate enough to work with UN Women to develop the creative platform for Women Count, a global initiative which seeks to radically change how gender statistics are addressed globally.

 

For Kyle, the positive impact work has on peoples’ lives is a core tenant to his unique creative approach. Kyle is also a published portrait photographer. His passion for image making and photography compliments his work and allows him to express and share personal reflection through a different medium.

KATE O’NEILL, ACCOUNT MANAGER

After completing the MSc in Advertising in DIT,  Kate started her career in The Public House.

From her years in there she developed a strong understanding of the Irish media landscape after working with some of Ireland’s biggest brands including FBD, Paddy Power, Jameson & 48, the youth mobile brand re-launch.

LEONA SMYTH, ART DIRECTOR

Leona is graduate of TU Dublin’s MSc in Advertising and also holds a BA in Fine Art, Photography and Film from Limerick School of Art and Design. She worked previously as a Production and Jury Assistant at D&AD before deciding to enter the industry as a Creative herself. She won a D&AD New Blood Graphite Pencil in 2020 for her work on Barclays UK, as well as receiving an ICAD Student Advertising Commendation and has placed in multiple other pitch events including The Kennedy’s and HKX Platform.

 

CHÉRIE CLARKE, CREATIVE CONTENT PRODUCER (TBWA\MAKE)

Chérie brings her expertise as a Creative Content Producer to the TBWA\MAKE team, having previously worked with other agencies in the industry such as Rothco, Publicis and Windmill Lane.

 

ADAM SHERRY, PRODUCER (TBWA\MAKE)

 

Adam joins TBWA\Dublin’s in-house production team, MAKE, with plenty of experience from his years of freelance work. Before joining the team, Adam also ran an events business.

 

 

 

FIONA HUGHES, SOCIAL & CONTENT EXECUTIVE

Newest recruit to the ever-growing Social & Content team, Fiona Hughes, has a BA in Communication Studies and is also a Certified Digital Marketing Professional (CDMP) with the Digital Marketing Institute. Fiona is also a newly qualified Breathwork Coach, too. Breathwork has had a profound effect on her life, so now she coaches in group classes and at corporate workshops when she has free time.

BEN FLYNN, JUNIOR PLANNER

Ben joins TBWA\Dublin after 2 and half years with McCann Dublin, where he started out in Client Services before transitioning into the Strategy team. In both roles, he worked across a range industries, contributing to work for clients like Microsoft, Dublin City Council, The Residential Tenancies Board, Becks, Cardano, Norwegian Air and Zurich.

 

 

MARK MURRAY, MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

Mark joins TBWA\Dublin with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Communications. During his studies, Mark set up his own small branding business called Outline Designs, before deciding to go agency-side. When he’s not designing, Mark can be found creating and producing his own music.

 

CIAN FITZSIMONS, MOTION GRAPHICS DESIGNER

Cian is the latest edition to the agency’s Creative Department, following his graduation from a degree in Design & Communications. Along with his skills and experience in motion graphics design, he’s also an Muay Thai fighter, a custom-wear clothing company owner and an actor. You might even spot him in an upcoming RTÉ series soon!

 

 

SARAH TYNAN, JUNIOR ART DIRECTOR

Before taking the plunge into the world of advertising Sarah was a practicing artist with exhibitions at the Royal Academy and Institute of Contemporary Art, London. Her work is in several public collections including the OPW and the Irish Arts Council. She previously worked for the Turner prize winning artist Jeremy Deller and Allen Jones. Combining her wealth of knowledge working in both the art and the advertising industry, Sarah brings unique insights and a new approach to creative projects.

ROISIN O’MAHONY, JUNIOR COPYWRITER

Roisin joins the agency’s Creative team following her time as a Film and Television Production student at IADT. Roisin has decided to Roisin participated in the 2019 ICAD Upstarts Programme and has worked as a Creative Strategist and Copywriter at Southern Advertising, Limerick. While Hollywood will soon come knocking, TBWA\Dublin are glad to welcome her to the team.

 

 

EMILY FORKIN, JUNIOR TBWA\MAKE PRODUCER

Emily is the third and final addition to TBWA\Dublin’s in-house production team. Emily is a recent graduate from Queen’s University Belfast and has an M.A in Film.
