Colette Sexton, the former media and marketing correspondent with the Sunday Business Post and political correspondent with The Times, has been appointed as associate director of Edelman’s public affairs division.

According to Feargal Purcell, head of public affairs: “At Edelman we believe Public Affairs can make a real difference in real people’s lives and serve as a positive force for change in business and society. Colette’s experience of and engagement with the business world, her time in politics and her intuitive understanding of the direction in which Irish society is travelling, means she will be a serious asset to all our clients, across a range of issues both in the advice she provides and results she secures on their behalf.”

“I am very pleased and excited to be joining Edelman as associate director on the public affairs team. In the course of my conversations with Edelman I was deeply impressed by their ethos and ambition and I am particularly interested in their unique perspective on public affairs and their focus on the intersection between business, politics, media and wider society. I am delighted with the opportunity this role represents and I am greatly looking forward to working with my new colleagues and striving to secure positive outcomes for our clients,” adds Colette Sexton.
