Carry Out Takes to the Airwaves with Movies and Booze Sponsorship

Carry Out Off Licence is to sponsor Sean Moncrieff show’s slot “Movies and Booze” on Newstalk.

The off-licence chain – now Ireland’s largest independent off-licence – will sponsor the popular segment for the next six months with a partnership that will encompass radio, online and in-store channels.

“We’re excited by the potential of this sponsorship” explained Holly Barry, Brand Strategist for Barry Group – Carry Out’s parent company. “Movies and Booze and Carry Out is a perfect partnership, the mix of humour, information and culture on the show is an ideal start to our customers weekend. We’re hugely positive about the synergy between the show and our brand and we firmly believe it will be a huge success”

Airing between 2:40pm and 4pm every Friday, Movies and Booze on The Moncrieff Show has built a strong following with regular guests such as wine expert Jean Smullen and movie reviewer Esther McCarthy joining presenter Sean Moncrieff to taste some stand-out wines and cast an eye over the latest cinema releases.

According to Chris Doyle, Operations Director, Newstalk: “We are delighted to have Carry Out come on board as sponsor to our ever popular Movies and Booze feature on Moncrieff.  Carry Out is a seamless fit for this Friday afternoon favourite, that kick-starts our listeners’ weekend.”
