The annual 98 FM’s Best of Dublin Awards will take place on May 23rd. Now in their third year, the awards celebrate all that’s best about Dublin  with 98FM’s on air and digital audience nominating and voting for the city’s best hidden gems, people and businesses.

This year’s categories include a mix of culture, places, food & drink venues and of course the everyday people that make up the fabric of the city. 98FM wants listeners to vote on the Best Bar, Best Gym, Best Restaurant, Best Sports Person, Best Salon, Dublin Hero and lots more. The shortlisted finalists will be released on May 2nd with all being invited to a glitzy finale in Dublin City Centre.

Speaking about the awards, 98FM’s CEO John Burns said “Here at 98FM we are all about Dublin and Dubliners. We know that this is a shared passion with almost 200,000 loyal weekly listeners and that is why we have chosen to run the extremely popular Best of Dublin awards again in 2017.

For the people of Dublin, our audience, and everyone that works at the station, this is our chance to showcase the best of what this great city has to offer”.

This year 98FM’s Best of Dublin campaign will be promoted across on air, print, digital and social over a 5 week campaign. The winners will be unveiled at the gala awards ceremony hosted in an iconic Dublin venue on May 23rd where all the Dublin nominees will be celebrated.

98FM, part of Media Central’s national suite of radio stations, is looking for a suitable partner for the Dublin event.  Commenting on the sponsorship Media Centrals head of solutions, Neil Mac Dermott says ‘Community is what this campaign is all about! Best of Dublin represents a fantastic opportunity for the right brand to really appeal to and engage with Dubliners.  Last year’s awards received a staggering 525,000 public votes and this year we aim to far exceed this’.
