Judging Gets Under Way for Media Awards 2016

Media-Awards-2016-website-logoJudging for this year’s Media Awards is now underway as the final deadline for entries closed this week. A total of 351 entries were received by the organisers this year, a 17% increase on last year.

The short-list for this year’s Awards will be published on Adworld.ie on March 11th and the Awards will take place on Thursday March 31st in the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel.

This year, a panel of 45 industry professionals has been assembled as part of the judging process with Paul Keenan, CEO of Bauer Media in the UK once again acting as overall chairman of the judging panel. The judging panel includes Aislin O’Connor, Three Mobile, Tim Ryan, Glanbia Foods; Tony Boylan, Ulster Bank; Chris Nolan, Kellog’s; Kevin Reid, BDO; Aoife Davey, One4All; Robert Blythe, Molson Coors; Charley Stoney, Alternatives Group; Asta Lund, marketing consultant; Loreto O’Byrne, Dublin Airport; Brian Sparks, Agency Assessments, Barry Dooley, AAI and Nick Read, Chartered Institute of Marketing NI.

The organisers of the Awards, have also announced that a number of new Platinum Partners have also signed up to be part of this year’s Awards. These include the digital publishing firm Maximum Media and Dublin Airport Authority (DAA). They join the event’s other Platinum Partners, RTÉ Media Sales and DMG Media. Gold Partners include Wide Eye Media and the Sunday Business Post.
