New Research from Irish Firm Pacey Seeks to Explain Why AI is Failing to Scale in Marketing

Pacey, the new Irish AI company founded by Richard Carr and Evan Greally, has launched a survey to explore how marketing and customer-facing teams actually get their work done, where their time goes, where the friction lies, and what is really holding AI back from becoming part of everyday processes.

The research follows a series of studies from Deloitte, Adobe and BCG, all of which point to the same conclusion: marketers have moved quickly to try AI tools, but few have gone on to systemise them into something that delivers a genuine commercial advantage.

According to Pacey, the gap is particularly striking when set against other business functions. In software development and customer care, agentic and autonomous AI systems are increasingly common. In marketing, the technology remains largely experimental, it says.

Pacey describes itself as an AI-native system of action for marketing teams. It was founded in June 2026 by Evan Greally (CTO) and Richard Carr (CEO). Pacey.ai is already live and operational with marketing teams in five different countries using it.

The survey is being led by Catherine Hayes, Pacey’s head of product design, who said the research would try to establish the practical, cultural and structural reasons why marketing has lagged behind.

Participants in the survey will receive a full copy of the research and access to a webinar to discuss the results.

To participate in the survey, Pacey.ai is asking marketers for just five minutes of their time to complete the survey HERE
