RTÉ Launches Online Documentary Hub

RTÉ has launched a new online hub for documentaries as part of its RTÉ Player. The Doc Hub will bring together a wide range of Irish documentaries that were aired on both RTÉ One and RTÉ Two over the last number of years.

This is the first on demand hub available on RTÉ Player with over 50 titles across sport, entertainment, the arts and culture.

Some of the highlights from the Doc Hub include, ROG: The Ronan O’Gara Documentary; Maureen Gaffney’s popular self-help documentary, How to Be Happy and The Boston Nanny, about Cavan woman Aisling Brady McCarthy who spent over two years in a US prison awaiting trial accused of killing a one-year-old baby in her care.  It also includes other documentaries like Connected, Great Irish Journeys, Nine Stone Lighter, Reality Bites, Pitbull and Better Off Abroad.

According to Aoife Byrne, director of content & products, RTÉ Digital, “we are always looking at ways to offer our audience more great content to watch how, when and where they want it. The documentary hub allows us curate the best of RTÉ TV’s docs – from those just broadcast, to gems and favourites from the archive, in an on demand space where audiences can enjoy them online and on mobile.”

The Doc Hub is available now on RTÉ Player Desktop and Mobile and will be refreshed on a regular basis. For more information CLICK HERE
