The menswear brand Benetti Menswear has renewed its sponsorship of RTÉ’s coverage of the Amgen Irish Open for a sixth consecutive year.

The sponsorship, brokered by The Engine Room, includes sponsorship stings across RTÉ2 and RTÉ Player coverage of the tournament, as well as digital takeovers on RTÉ.ie.

The 2026 Amgen Irish Open is taking place at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel in Doonbeg, Co. Clare, from Sept. 10-13, with RTÉ broadcasting more than 20 hours of live coverage. With a certain US president flying in for the occasion, the tournament has gathered considerable attention at home and abroad.

The field includes Rory McIlroy, Shane Lowry and Jon Rahm, with the tournament bringing some of the world’s leading golfers to the west of Ireland for four days of competition.

Benetti Menswear first sponsored RTÉ’s coverage of the event in 2021 and has remained associated with the broadcaster’s Irish Open coverage since then.

“Benetti Menswear first came onboard as sponsor of RTÉ’s Amgen Irish Open coverage in 2021 and have become a valued commercial partner over the last six years,” said John Spain, digital partnerships manager, RTÉ Commercial.

“We’re thrilled to have their continued support in bringing every drive, putt and pivotal moment to Irish audiences live and direct from Doonbeg.”

Vincent Nally of Benetti Menswear said the tournament offered the Irish menswear brand an opportunity to associate itself with one of the country’s biggest sporting occasions.

“Golf has a huge following across Ireland and this is one of the standout events on the Irish sporting calendar, so it’s a fantastic platform for Benetti to be part of,” he said.

“As an Irish menswear brand, we’re proud to align Benetti with major sporting occasions and to support RTÉ in bringing all of the action to audiences across the country.”

Cáit Maguire, managing director, The Engine Room, said the Irish Open offered brands the opportunity to reach large audiences around a major free-to-air sporting event.

“The Irish Open is one of the standout events in the Irish sporting calendar, making RTÉ’s coverage a powerful opportunity for brands to engage with audiences at scale,” she said.

“We’re delighted to have facilitated this partnership for Benetti Menswear, bringing together a premium Irish brand and the free-to-air broadcast of a premium Irish sports event that shares similar values of excellence, performance and quality.”
