Advertising Industry Pulls Together to Support Andyfest

The Irish advertising and media industry will be out in force to celebrate the life of Andrew McDermott on June 14th and to raise financial support for his wife Lorna and their three young children following his tragic and sudden death on April 11th.

The event, which is called Andyfest will take place in Twenty Two, South Anne Street, Dublin 2.

A well-known figure in the Irish advertising industry over the last 20 years, Andrew worked in a number of agencies and media organisations, including McConnell’s, McCann Erickson, Carlton Screen Advertising, the Sunday World and, more recently, INM. Well liked within the industry by both clients and his colleagues, Andrew was also actively involved with a number of industry initiatives through NewsBrands Ireland.

Andyfest will be a fun-packed night of celebration and remembrance with acts such as Mundy, Foil Arms & Hog and comedian Oliver Callan all signed up to perform on the night. More high-profile performers will be announced over the coming week.  On the night there will also be a raffle with some amazing spot prizes including weekends away, holiday vouchers and electrical goods all up for grabs.

According to the organizing committee, the support from the wider advertising and media industry to date has been significant and it is asking for as many people as possible to become involved with the fund-raising initiative by attending on the night, buying raffle tickets or donating via a Go Fund Me page which has been set up HERE

To buy raffle tickets please contact Mairead Kearns in INM (mkearns@inmsales.ie) or Ronan O’Loughlin in Digitize (ronan@digitize.ie).
