McCannBlue & NCAD Launch New Internship Programme

NCAD student welcome tour of McCannBlue

McCannBlue and the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) have launched an annual internship programme.

Open to students in their pre-final year studying at NCAD, this year-long paid position will provide practical working experience in a creative and digital agency environment.

The successful student will have the opportunity to work on a number of leading global and national brands, with the full support of a multi-skilled, expert team of McCannBlue mentors.

According to Graham Stewart, creative director at McCannBlue:“Through this programme, we’re truly living out our ethos of ‘Create Change’ by committing to, investing in and developing tomorrow’s creative leaders. We’re really excited about the potential of this partnership with NCAD – not just because we’re giving these talented students a start and a chance to learn what’s expected of them in the day-to-day creative work environment, but because we expect to learn just as much from them.”

Professor Alex Milton, head of the school of design at NCAD adds: “We are delighted to be partnering with McCannBlue. They are a leading creative agency, and the internship will provide an invaluable experience for the successful student. The internship fits within our new Studio+ initiative which has been designed to enable NCAD students to gain practical work experience, study abroad and work on a diverse range of live commercial, social or community projects.”

An affiliate of McCannWorldGroup, McCannBlue’s clients include Microsoft, Kerry, Dublin City Council, Ulster Bank, MasterCard, dublin.ie, Hunky Dorys, safefood, Becks, Nestlé Cereals, Deep RiverRock, Purina and Medecins Sans Frontières.
