The managing director and founder of PML Group, Jimmy Cashen was the recipient of the Media Hero Award at the annual Media Awards which were held in Dublin last night.
Cashen received two standing ovations from the packed room of 850 people attending the Awards in the Doubletree by Hilton hotel.
Previous recipients of the awards include John McCann, Dermot Hanrahan and Padraig Moran. The Award, which is sponsored by the Sunday Business Post, is given to somebody who has made a significant contribution to the Irish media industry during the course of their career and is chosen by a panel of industry professionals each year.
