Ogilvy Strikes Gold at the APMC 2013 Star Awards

Winners of  the APMC 2013 Grand Prix Award, Andy Claire, Colm Gaore, Gary Fogarty, Niamh O’Kennedy, Helena Murphy, and Stephen Moran, from Ogilvy Dublin from Ogilvy Dublin for GSK for their ‘Lucozade Sport Club Crusade’ campaign being presented their award by Paul Godwin from PCG Consultant, Jamie Helly from Dynamo and Dermot Whelan at the APMC Star Awards 2013.

The 2013 APMC Star Awards took place in the Westin Hotel last Friday. MC Dermot Whelan presented a total of fifteen gold awards to eight APMC Agencies.

The big winners on the night were Ogilvy who won three gold awards and went on to take home the overall Grand Prix Award for their Lucozade Sport Club Crusade.

Meanwhile, Rothco Social+ took four gold awards for client work on IDL and Meteor, Publicis and Ogilvy were awarded three golds each: three for Heineken and three for GSK respectively. Real Nation, Stratagem iLabs, Ground4D, Zoo Digital and Verve picked up one a piece.

This year’s judges in the APMC Star Awards  were Jamie Helly, managing director, Dynamo, Dr. Laurent Muzellec, Lecturer in marketing UCD, Paul Godwin, owner of PCG Consultants and group planning consultant with the Positive Thinking Group, Ruth Guy, fundraising and marketing director of Barnardos Ireland.

Speaking on behalf of the judges, Paul Godwin of PCG Consultants said: “We were very impressed by the standard of the entries this year. Certainly in the digital and mobile arenas Ireland appears to be at the forefront of innovation and creativity here. All the judges were delighted to see campaigns that focused on delivering both customer and brand value, we saw real, quantifiable commercial results from solid strategic thinking and great creative execution.”

The 2013 APMC Star Awards were sponsored by IMJ, Today FM, Unmissable, PIMS-SCA Ltd, Hayes Solicitors, Colour World Print, Promocraft, Metro Herald and Connect Promotions.
