EchoLive.ie Reports Record Growth in November

EchoLive.ie, the online arm of The Echo newspaper, which is now part of the Irish Times group, has reported record numbers for November with in excess of 1m page views racked up in the week from November 11 to November 17.

According to the publisher, strong growth was reported its local news, sport, lifestyle and human interest features. The site was launched in March 2019.

“In the past year we’ve had a successful shift of the newspaper from evening to daily, and throughout this, EchoLive has been growing at a phenomenal rate and it is fantastic to exceed one million-page views in a week.  There is a real appetite among Cork people for authentic local news from a trusted source,” says editor Maurice Gubbins.

He added that with the development of the Irish Examiner/The Echo content studio, reported recently on Adworld.ie, the publisher has further plans to enhance its online offering.

“The combination of The Echo and the Irish Examiner, online and in print, is an unbeatable proposition for coverage of the Cork market,” says Gubbins.

“We continue to strive at all times to stay close and connected to the people of Cork and to stand up for them and demand fair treatment for them. Our mission is straightforward – Cork news and Cork sport for Cork people,” he says.
