Readership figures released by Kantar Media show the Irish Farmers Journal now has the fastest growing readership of any newsprint publication in the country with 8,000 new readers in 2019.

In the absence of the Joint National Research Survey (JNRS), Kantar Media’s TGI are used widely in the industry to provide consumer insights and audience profiling. Some 3,036 adults (15+) completed the Kantar Media survey in the Republic of Ireland.

With a weekly readership of 263,000 in the Republic of Ireland, the Irish Farmers Journal’s figures are up 3.14% on the 2018 figures with some 35% of its readership now under the age of 35.

“We are delighted to see a growing number of readers engage with the Irish Farmers Journal each week. A weekly readership of 263,000 is a strong endorsement of our editorial strategy which centres on producing high quality unique content that is trusted and valued by our readers,” says Justin McCarthy, editor and CEO of the Irish Farmers Journal.
