Core, Ireland’s largest marketing communications company, has appointed Craig Farrell as group head of media planning. Stepping into his shoes as MD of Zenith is Chris Nolan who joins the agency from Kellogg, where he spent six years, most recently as media, advertising and digital director with responsibility for the EMEA territories.  Prior to this he has previously worked at Carat Ireland, where he sat on the board, and he was also broadcast director of Zenith in Dublin from 2001 to 2007.

As head of media planning for Core, Farrell will have responsibility for developing strategic excellence in media planning across the business, as well as coordinating the standards and processes for Core’s Media Practice, which consists of Starcom, Zenith, Spark Foundry and Mediaworks.

According to Alan Cox, CEO of Core: “As our business transforms and the media market becomes more complex, it is crucial that we continue to grow our investment in delivering the highest level of planning excellence across our Media Practice. As Head of Media Planning, Craig will drive this. He has the skills, experience and passion to harness our considerable resources to ensure our clients always receive the best advice.”

“We’re also delighted that Chris is joining the business, as he brings extensive experience, a unique client-side perspective and strong leadership and collaboration skills to Zenith. We were impressed with his vision for Zenith and feel that, together with the support of the entire team, Zenith will continue its upward trajectory and bring the brand to new heights. We have no doubt that Chris will make a significant contribution to our company and we are excited to welcome him to the team.”
