Tourism Ireland Showcases Iconic Movie Locations on Social Channels

Tourism Ireland has created a new online film for its social media platforms that showcases some of the locations on the island of Ireland where iconic films and TV shows have been shot.

Called “Ireland as seen on screen”, Tourism Ireland’s latest video was created to remind people everywhere why Ireland is a “superstar of the screen.” It includes Northern Ireland (‘Game of Thrones Territory’), the Wild Atlantic Way (where two of the Star Wars films were shot), Co Wicklow (where Vikings was filmed), Trim Castle (which starred in Braveheart) and Co Wexford (where both Brooklyn and Saving Private Ryan were shot).

The film is being promoted through Tourism Ireland’s social platforms, including Facebook where it has 4.38m fans and Twitter where it has 521,000 followers.
