With the first episode of Ireland’s Got Talent scheduled to be broadcast next weekend, Virgin Media TV has secured Domino’s Pizza as its sponsor in a deal that includes broadcast and digital sponsorship, social media, product placement and a multi-platform promotion. It also includes the sponsorship of the spin-off show Ireland’s got Mór Talent hosted by Glenda Gilson and James Kavanagh.

The sponsorship deal was brokered by GroupM’s Mindshare.

According to Katie Hanley, Brand Partnership Account Manager for Virgin Media Solutions: “Virgin Media Solutions is delighted to have Domino’s on board for a second year as the Official food of Talent. We look forward to seeing what new talent and exciting entertainment the show will bring to life this year.”

Paul Dupuy, National Marketing Manager for Domino’s adds: “We all know that you can’t beat a night in with friends and family enjoying your favourite Saturday night TV programme, and a fresh, hand-made pizza from Domino’s is the perfect addition.  As Domino’s is the Official Food of Everything, including talent, we’re excited to be returning as sponsor this year after an epic first year and to be part of what this fantastic show has got to offer. The show has produced some national treasures from all over Ireland and we’re looking forward to what we know will be a great season!  What better way to celebrate its return than with a slice of our new Cheeseburger pizza or one of our Delight 650cal pizzas.”

Meanwhile Virgin Media Solutions has announced that it has secured Casillero Del Diablo, as the sponsor of the brand new series of ‘Red Rock’ in a deal that was brokered by Wavemaker, part of GroupM.

The deal will include broadcast sponsorship, digital product placement and ownership of all digital elements. The partnership will see Virgin Media solution’s team up with Mirriad technology for the digital insertion of the Casillero Del Diablo’s wine products which will feature in appropriate scenes across the series.

Red Rock is a firm favourite with Irish viewers, recognised for quality storylines & our best homegrown talent. We feel it’s a perfect partnership as Casillero del Diablo is an Irish favourite too due to its exceptional quality.”

Aoife Hofler Deputy Managing Director for Wavemaker adds: We are delighted to continue our strategic long term sponsorship approach for Casillero del Diablo in conjunction with Virgin Media.
