Gyro, the Dentsu Aegis-owned specialist B2B marketing agency is to open up an office in Ireland next year.

“Gyro is Dentsu Aegis Network’s global “business to business” specialist agency. As they have grown, we have assisted them by delivering performance campaigns across multiple markets and channels for clients such as Facebook and Fujitsu. This has helped DAN Ireland to develop an export stream and proves that, in the digital economy, Ireland is well placed to compete with larger countries more traditionally associated with multinational media and marketing campaigns,” says Liam McDonnell, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Ireland.

“From a local perspective – while the Irish market has a relatively small population- we are disproportionately big in terms of the B2B market with numerous multinational and indigenous export businesses headquartered here. Opening a gyro office in Ireland will allow us to service this sector with specialist expertise and international scale,” he adds.

Earlier this week, Dentsu Aegis Network announced that the acquisition of B2B International, the world’s leading specialist business-to-business market research company. Once the acquisition is complete B2B International will become part of gyro.

Headquartered in the UK with offices across Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific, B2B International provides bespoke market research solutions for its global clients, which include 600 of the world’s largest blue-chip companies including Stanley Black & Decker, BASF, E.ON and Bridgestone. It has carried out more than 3,000 B2B market research projects across every continent and every industry vertical gaining powerful cross-industry experience.

Global clients of gyro, meanwhile, include HP, Vodafone, Danone, Facebook, eBay and Google. The agency, which launched in 1981 and was acquired by Dentsu Aegis Network in 2016, has 17 offices worldwide and is headquartered in New York.

According to Kate Howe, CEO, gyro UK: “We’re really excited to be joining forces with B2B International – a company we have long admired – at a time when the business-to-business space is growing fast and becoming more sophisticated than ever. The combination of our highly complementary services will create an unrivalled end-to-end marketing powerhouse for B2B brands, delivering greater value to our clients and continuing our trend to innovate in the market.”
