With the popularity of rugby continuing to surge, Bank of Ireland has now boxed off all four Irish provinces- Munster, Leinster, Ulster and Connacht- following its three-years sponsorship deal with Connacht Rugby which was announced this week.

According to Brian Mahony, head of commercial and marketing, Connacht Rugby: “We are delighted to welcome Bank of Ireland on board as a sponsor. Bank of Ireland’s goals of enabling their customers, colleagues and communities to thrive is directly aligned with our community driven purpose. Connacht Rugby and Bank of Ireland have a proud history together and we are excited to partner once again. Bank of Ireland is synonymous with rugby in Ireland and their long-term investment is helping drive the sport forward across the province and country”.

Gemma Bell, sponsorship manager, Bank of Ireland added: “We are thrilled to come on board with Connacht rugby as an official partner for the next three years. Connacht rugby has a long tradition and presence in local communities with a very devoted fan base which is what makes the partnership such an excellent fit for Bank of Ireland. This partnership now places Bank of Ireland at the heart of rugby across the island of Ireland and supports the Bank’s broader programme of activity to support and drive the local economy through initiatives like our Enterprise events and Youth programme for schools. We look forward to supporting the continued success of Connacht rugby in the seasons ahead.”
