KPMG is the new sponsor of the Dublin Ladies Senior Gaelic football team after it agreed to sponsor the team for a year.

According to KPMG employee and Dublin captain Sinéad Aherne: “Ladies Gaelic football is considered to be one of the fastest growing female sports in Europe. I have represented the Dublin Senior ladies since 2003, and over the past years, I have seen how the game has grown from strength to strength regarding professionalism, skill, and interest in the game.”

The current All-Ireland champions beat the Mayo ladies football team in last year’s Ladies Gaelic Football All-Ireland Final, with a record breaking attendance at Croke Park, with 46,286 spectators.

“Ladies Gaelic footballers are considered as role models for young people all over the country. It’s important to get the right partnerships in place that recognise that supporting women’s sport is vital to increase participation and attendance at games. I’m very grateful to be an employee of KPMG who supports me not only in my professional career but also in my sporting career to help the Dublin Ladies in our All-Ireland campaign,” says Aherne.
