IPG Seeks Sponsors for Global Gathering in Galway

Colm O’Reilly, CEO of the Irish Pubs Global Federation

The organisers of the Global Gathering, the three-day event which celebrates and promotes Irish food to Irish pubs overseas, are seeking sponsors for the next event which takes place in Galway in October.

The three days of conferences, networking and food and drink tours is organised by the Irish Pubs Global (IPG) to promote Irish food products to overseas Irish pubs and it will culminate in a gala awards dinner for almost 500 international operators of Irish pubs.

The theme of this year’s gathering is ‘Famous for Food’ and it will take place between October 7th-9th.

According to Colm O’Reilly, CEO of the Irish Pubs Global Federation: “Sponsorship isn’t simply a way for events to cover their costs. There must be real value in the offering or else your annual event won’t be around too long as word will travel that there’s no concrete return for a sponsor’s investment.

“We’ve had some high-profile sponsors since the first Global Gathering back in 2013, culminating in the likes of Magners, Guinness Open Gate Brewery, Dubai Duty Free and Oliver Marketing being on board last year, and the many sponsorship renewals for 2018 must mean we’re doing something right.”
