Ian Campbell of Havas Media was names as this year’s Rising Star at the annual Media Awards. Thompson picked up the gold award in this category while Gemma Gilmore from Spark Foundry picked up the Silver Award while Conor McDonnell of Starcom took Bronze.
In making their citation, the judges said: “The reason we chose Ian was a clear focus on business performance, he was extremely results driven. He’s built a great team and launched a programmatic offering which is a huge task and a great testament to Havas’ offering to their clients. He himself has shown incredible progression in his career to date but also a huge sense of humility. He’s so passionate about his people both in terms of mentoring but also teaching within his team. He wants to give everybody a chance to succeed.”
