Tourism Ireland Targets Global LGBT Tourist Market

With the world’s media still focusing on Ireland’s referendum outcome, Tourism Ireland looks set to capitalise on the country’s newly established status amongst the global LGBT community with a new campaign aimed at wooing them to Ireland for weddings and honeymoons.

The campaign, “Ireland Says I Do,” will run in nine different markets, including the USA, the UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, France, Spain, Italy and the Nordic countries.

The global LGBT travel market is estimated to be worth around $200 billion a year while LGBT Europeans have a total spend on travel of $66.1 billion a year.
