Bord Bia picked up the Grand Prix at the Research Excellence Awards which were held today, Friday December 5th, in the Shelbourne Hotel.

Bord Bia won the Grand Prix Award for its Glanbia Consumer Foods/Local Turning: Avonmore in China Research. It also won two other awards in the Innovation in Research Approach category and the Excellence in Qualitative Research Category.

Behaviour & Attitudes, meanwhile, picked up two awards in the Brand Development & Strategy and Public Policy & Social Research categories.

Other winners at the Awards included Millward Brown (Advertising Research) and RedC (Excellence in Data Analytics).

Commenting on the Awards, Mark Nolan, Chairman of the Marketing Society said: “We are delighted with the continued success of these Awards which have attracted over 50 entries his year.  It is clear from the quality of the winning entries that a piece of in-depth and incisive research can provide the edge that will create a point of difference for a brand or a business in a competitive market place.  Congratulations and well done to all of the winners.”

Presenting the Awards, Professor Damien McLoughlin, Chairman of the adjudication panel, said: “I was delighted to be involved in judging these awards this year and I am pleased to see the depth and quality of award entries continues to improve. It is clear that in each of the categories it is the research conducted which created the point of difference for their client. The Research Excellence Awards has shown that the research industry is thriving in Ireland and the winners demonstrate that Irish research companies are producing world class work.”

“We would like to thank all of our sponsors for their support and also our media partners – Irish Marketing Journal and The Sunday Business Post,” added Mark Nolan.
