Publicis Dublin Wins Bord Gais Account

Publicis Dublin has picked up the creative account for Bord Gais.

In what was one of the most keenly contested pitches of the year, four agencies made the shortlist – Chemistry, Target McConnells and the incumbent DDFH&B.

The pitch process was managed by Una Herlihy of Open Communications and involved a multi- stage tender process with a number of agencies asked to participate after which the shortlist of four agencies was drawn up. Publicis Dublin will begin working with the company in January 2015.

In December 2013, the Government sold the company for €1.12 billion to a consortium headed up by British multinational Centrica plc, which also owns British Gas in the UK market.
