PHD Picks up VHI and Ryanair Accounts

Jason Nebenzahl, Managing Director of PHD

The Omnicom-owned PHD has picked up a number of new accounts including VHI, Ryanair and Boylesports.

In the highly competitive market for personal health insurance, VHI is one of the most active players in terms of advertising and marketing. PHD picked up the business following a pitch that also involved the incumbent Mindshare which earlier this year won the Grand Prix at the Media Awards 2014 for its work with the company.

Ryanair, meanwhile, has also chosen PHD to handle its Irish media buying and planning business although Mediacom holds the account for the rest of Europe where the airline is particularly active in markets like Germany, Poland and the UK. Boylesports, meanwhile, is one of the largest gambling and gaming operators in Ireland and has been developing its business into the UK.

“Overstating the obvious, we are delighted with these wins here at PHD,” says Jason Nebenzahl, managing director of PHD. “It is a reflection of the talent, work ethic, energy and genuine passion of the team and this is exceptionally gratifying. Any time we get to work with outstandingly strong Irish brands who have talented and ambitious marketers working for them, we are truly delighted. These wins will enable PHD to grow as a company and is a reflection that our way of doing things differently is working. We very much look forward to continuing to deliver tangible business results both for our new clients and also our existing clients, all of whom we are proud to work with.”
