The Business Post has acquired the UK-based research firm Relish Research for an undisclosed sum.

The acquisition was made through RED C, which was acquired by The Business Post in 2022 and it will strengthen the Business Post Group’s presence in the key UK market research sector.

Relish Research was founded in 2011 by Monique Drummond and offers research services to clients in the retail, utilities, gaming and entertainment sectors and it will continue to operate as a standalone brand, with the existing management team and staff retained, “but embarking on an exciting new chapter as a sister company to the RED C brands, and as part of The Business Post Group working to an aligned vision for the future,” according to Richard Colwell, chief executive of RED C Research and who heads up the data and insights business within the group.

“We are delighted to further strengthen our data and insights footprint in the important UK market,” Colwell says.  “Relish Research brings a fresh focus to the group with key strengths in the recurring revenue/subscription model, and a rich client base that perfectly complements our existing RED C business in the UK. The acquisition marks an important landmark on our core objective to make the RED C Group a Top 100 research organisation worldwide.  I look forward to working with the talented team at Relish to help them further grow in the years ahead.”

“We are very excited to become part of the Business Post Group and we’re looking forward to the future opportunities this represents for the whole team here at Relish.  While retaining our independence, there are clear synergies in developing a close working relationship with the skilled consultant team RED C.  Not only will we be strengthening the range of services we currently offer our clients, but we’ll be collaborating on the development of new insight products to further strengthen our combined position in the market,” adds Monique Drummond.
