Irish Agencies Roll Out New European Campaign for DPD

Two Irish agencies, Watson Creative and The Marketing Dept, have collaborated to produce a new pan-European digital campaign for the delivery and logistics firm DPD.

Earlier this week, DPD announced a major investment in its Irish operations with the creation of an additional 550 jobs and the new campaign highlights DPD Ireland’s ‘zero emission parcel delivery service’ and was shot in Dublin prior to the outbreak of Covid-19 in March.

“Our clients couldn’t travel at short notice but that didn’t stop things. We streamed a live view from the camera to Paris where they were able to input every step of the

way and be ‘virtually’ there. The result is a heart-warming story of a little girl’s realisation that the world is a very small place and what better reason can there be to look after the planet than that we all live on it,” says John Watson of Watson Creative.

“‘Remember when you were a kid and you wrote an address? You’d start with the name, then the street, city, county, country, continent and then you’d keep going… ‘The Earth.’ That childhood memory we all share inspired this idea. Our naive little selves were on to something. Fact is, borders are just something someone drew on a map. Wherever you live, wherever you work… we all share the same address. That’s why people and businesses care about the environment,” he adds.

“It was an absolute pleasure to work with the team at DPDgroup to bring this campaign to life. As part of the wider brief we also designed the green livery for DPDgroup’s zero and

low emission fleet across Europe. Delivering all this from Ireland for end clients in 26 countries was almost a reflection of our little girl’s insight and of our client’s openness and innovative approach to the way they do business,” adds  Carmel Connolly, The Marketing Department.
